The solid oak frame is exceptionally crafted, featuring hand-carved acanthus leaf detailing and a cushion-set design, where the original thick bevelled mirror glass is recessed 11cm from the wall. Later painted in soft layers of faded grey, the finish adds a gentle, timeworn elegance that complements both classic and modern interiors.
The mirror glass is original, over 8mm thick with delicate speckled foxing – subtle signs of age that enhance its authenticity. Despite its age, the glass remains in excellent condition, offering both clarity and charm.
At 109cm tall and 79cm wide, this mirror is the perfect size to prop up on a mantlepiece, console, or shelf — no need for hanging. It’s extremely heavy, and due to its scale and craftsmanship, is best delivered by a specialist courier within the UK (delivery arranged separately).
