Large Vallauris Studio Ceramic Lamp — France, c.1960s
Organic Brutalist Leaf Décor
A sculptural mid-century French ceramic lamp base from the Vallauris school, c.1960s. Hand-built with an irregular organic form, finished in a cratered volcanic glaze of earthy browns and blue-green tones, applied with glossy green leaf motifs.
This piece captures the Brutalist yet naturalistic aesthetic of the period and is in the manner of Le Mûrier / Gustave Reynaud. At once functional and artistic, it brings presence and texture into any interior scheme — a true statement lamp that reads as sculpture as much as lighting.
