An interior designer’s dream: a matching pair of antique French single bed frames, dating to circa 1900, with lovely original floral upholstery and cream-painted pine frames.
Shaped headboards, gently curved footboards and carved floral details give this pair an elegant Louis XV character. The upholstery combines a pale ground with gold, olive green, muted rose and touches of blue — a beautiful starting point for a country-house twin bedroom.
The matching side rails are upholstered too, carrying the decorative pattern along each bed. Metal stud edging follows the curves of the frames, while carved flowers and short cabriole feet complete the design.
Pair with simple ivory bedlinen, softly shaded lamps and a small antique table between the beds for an inviting guest room.
