A refined antique French Louis XVI style console table, retaining its original black and grey marble top above an elegantly carved painted base.
Raised on four slender fluted tapering legs, the table is decorated with richly carved neoclassical motifs including a central classical urn framed by scrolling acanthus leaves and floral rosettes. The soft timeworn painted finish has developed a beautiful aged patina that perfectly complements the original marble.
The moulded black and grey marble top displays wonderful natural veining and provides a striking contrast to the painted base, making this an elegant statement piece for a hallway, drawing room or bedroom.
